With all that being said, I am so nervous about finals. I just hope and pray that I make it through. This will be my last post until after finals, as I will need to devote all of my time to studying. I have not had a lot of time to study lately. I had four major assignments for my Legal Writing class alone. I also had various assignments for other classes as well. I am currently in the middle of my last two writing assignments. One is my final memo and the other is my presentation.
I am sooooo nervous about the presentation. I am researching and presenting an undecided case on the Supreme Court docket. My case deals with racial discrimination and the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Luckily, in undergrad, I wrote a few papers dealing with this issue. So it isn't completely foreign to me.
I had a presentation earlier in the semester for my Civil Procedure class and I totally ruined it. I started sweating and seeing black spots. I could not see the words on my paper. I forgot to change my slides and then to top it all off, I announced to the class that I was nervous! It was horrible. I am just dreading this next presentation. However, I have done a lot of research and am preparing for it a lot.
Anyway, finals start after this week and go on for two weeks. After that I am freeeee... for three weeks anyway. I am so looking forward to getting together with my friends and family who I have not gotten to see at all the last four months. I am thinking about going home to my beautiful Seattle during the break and taking the train to see my cousins in Canada. I miss them terribly and I would love to be back in Seattle for a few days.
Nothing in the world is better than Seattle at Christmas. I can't even describe the feeling. There simply are no words. I long to smell the water, fell the rain, and just be in the city that will always have my heart. Hummm...
I can't even think of that now though. So much is going to happen in the next few weeks. Much studying and praying is going to be in my near future. I created my study schedule for the week of Thanksgiving. We are out of school that week but the entire week will be nothing but studying. Each day I will study for 14 hours alternating subjects ever fourth, third, second, and first hour. So basically, I will study for Torts for four hours, then Civil Procedure for three hours, and so on. After the last subject is covered, I will review what I studied that day for a few hours and then go to bed. It's going to be a long week and I am not looking forward to it.
Anyway, I do need to go for now. I still need to take a bath, eat, fed my pups, give them their meds, get ready for school tomorrow, and start on Contracts. It's almost midnight... I have a feeling there won't be too much going on in the line of Contracts, but hey, a girl can hope.
I will update you all just as soon as finals are over! Please keep me in your prayers. I need them. For all of you guys studying for the December LSAT, You can do it! It's nothing compared to law school! lol.
One last thing, be kind to each other. Our world needs more kindness right now more than ever.
Talk to you guys after finals! Wish me luck!
XOXO
Stay Fabulous,
LawGirl.
