Anyway, it’s been such a busy summer. I finished my second project for my shark fin internship and am working on another one. Also, I currently have two legal articles that are due in a few days. I finished one and am still working on the other one. My first two articles were published and it was so exciting to see them. I still can’t believe that I get to do that. I go to hot yoga all the time. I love it so much. I learned how to do a handstand. I still use the wall but I am getting there. It has totally changed my life. I am not ready for all of my summer shenanigans to end. I will miss this time that I have had to learn new things, help animals, and do all the fun things that I don’t get to do when I am in school. I will miss seeing my beautiful dogs all the time. Since I get to work from home for my job and my internship, I am literally with them 24/7.
I do have exciting news! I am going on vacation the week before school starts. I will be returning two days before school starts so I will need to have everything in order for school prior to my leaving. Oh, I am going back to my beautiful Seattle and then taking a train to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to visit my cousins. I will be returning to Seattle to attend the Persian Heritage Festival. I am so excited. I have wanted to go to this festival for years and now I finally get to go. I can’t wait to be back in Seattle and feel like the truest version of myself again. It will be one last adventure before school starts. I will be doing a “Travel Journal Blog”. I will write a paragraph or so at the end of each day on my trip and then post all of it on one blog post upon my return. I will also include “the secret” at the end of that blog as well so stay tuned for that.
One other thing that I will be doing next week is attending a book club meeting at my yoga studio. We are going to be reading a book called “Perfectly Imperfect” by Baron Baptiste (world renowned yoga guy). We will also have wine and snacks. I think I am going to make a raw vegan cheesecake to bring. I saw some recipes and doesn't seem that hard. We will see how that goes.
On the 4th of July, we had a potluck after our yoga practice. We had a picnic in the studio and played games and just hung out. It was so much fun. This is the picture of all the food from that day. I, of course, forgot to take the foil off before I took this picture but I made vegan pulled pork pistolettes. I was so worried that no one would like them but they were a hit. People started eating them thinking it was meat but it was not. It was jackfruit. I found recipe online and it was awesome. I discovered so many awesome vegan ways to have the things that I used to love when I was a kid. I make vegan bacon from scratch which tastes like the real thing and now this pulled pork which is exactly like the real thing as well. So delicious.
Anyway, I just wanted to do a life update blog since I have not done one in a while. I can’t wait to share my trip with you all. I am looking forward to that time in the evenings so I can write a little about my day. It will be so great to look back. Check back for that blog post in a few weeks. I’ll end this blog here. I need to work on my legal article and I have got a little bit of writer’s block which is alway a little stressful. Talk to you guys soon.
XOXO
Stay Fabulous,
LawGIrl.
